Obituary of Joyce Ann Arnold

Joyce Ann Arnold, 75 of Bedford, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 5, 2014. She was born on Sunday, June 18, 1939 in Jenkins, KY, a daughter of the late Winfield Scott Mason and Vivian Irene Godsey Mason. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Donald Wayne Arnold. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Jon Nathan Arnold of Bedford, VA; her four children, Angela Arnold of Bedford, Tamara Cameron & husband, John of Manassas, Joseph Arnold & wife, Pamela of Ashburn, Daniel Arnold & wife, Suzanne of Midlothian; her six grandchildren, Kristina Huntt & husband, Chris, Jason Cameron, Jonathan Arnold, Tucker Arnold, Jack Arnold, Luke Arnold; her two great-grandchildren, Madison Alexander and Christopher Huntt; her sisters, Barbara Amos of Virginia Beach, sister, Carolyn Larsen of Elizabeth City, NC; her sister-in-law, Ann Arnold of Deerfield Beach, FL & several nieces & nephews. Joyce retired from IBM, Federal Systems Division in 1994. From 1995 to 2009 she was actively involved with the United Methodist Women @ the First United Methodist Church in Port Saint Lucie, Florida which eventually led to U. M. W. President of the Florida Atlantic Central District. Joyce was a life member of O. E. S. Chittenden Chapter # 59, Milton, Vermont. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Main Street United Methodist Church in Bedford, VA. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
