Clifton Lloyd Creasy, 65 of Goode, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Thursday, July 21, 1949 in Bedford County, a son of the late Lloyd Edgar Creasy and Georgie Goodman Creasy. He was a retired track foreman with Norfolk Southern, a member of Norwood Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard. He was an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables, a man who built his own nursery and an artisan home for his chickens and rooster, Rudy. Clifton was a Virginia gentleman always surrounded by loving friends. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Mitchell Creasy and a half-brother, Gerald Hawkins of Colorado. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Goode Lifesaving Crew, P. O. Box 178, Goode, VA 24556 or Calvary Baptist Church, 800 Smith Street, Bedford, VA 24523. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ray Lyons & Rev. John Hester officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:30 pm until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
