Obituary of Bernice Minnick Reynolds

Bernice Minnick Reynolds, 85 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on Thursday, May 8, 1930 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Wyatt W. Minnick and Pearl Burks Minnick. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dale Marie Reynolds Blankenship, brothers, Landon, Garland, George, Albert & Carlton Minnick and sisters, Odessa Minnick Falls & Eunice Minnick Eubank . She was a retired nurse having worked for many years for Dr. Eileen T. Jennings and after her retirement with Campbell's Rest Home. She was also a member of Center Point United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, John Milton Reynolds; her daughter, Deborah R. Bryant & husband, Clint of Bedford; her sons, Danny Lee Reynolds & wife, Judy, Daryl Wayne Reynolds & fiance, Lisa Markham, all of Bedford; son-in-law, Benny Blankenship of Bedford; her grandchildren, J. W. Bryant, Michael Blankenship & wife, Ashley, Abbey Stinnette & husband, Stephen, Ryan S. Reynolds & friend, Megan Naples, Casey L. Reynolds & fiance, Jake Tanner, Tyler F. Reynolds as well as her great-grandchildren, Haiven & Hudson. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Center Point United Methodist Church, c/o Janet Miles, 1116 Panorama Lane, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. William Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
