Doris Bays Creasy, 82 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was born on Tuesday, February 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Garland Morgan Bays and Myrtle Moore Bays .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Buford "S.B" Creasy and brothers, Everette Bays and Morgan Bays. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Buford Creasy & wife, Rose of Bedford and Charles Lee Creasy of Lynchburg; grandsons, Larry "Brad" Creasy & wife, Greta and Robbie Wayne Meador & wife, Lola; great-grandsons, Logan and Brycen Creasy and Chase Meador; sisters, Frances Sublett & husband, Jimmy of Troutville, VA, Betty Crouch & husband, Harvey of Roanoke, VA; brothers, Doug Bays, G.M Bays & wife, Rosella all of Bedford.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 20, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. at Updike Funeral Home in Bedford. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
